How does it work:
The hair grows in 3 stages, Anagen, Catagen, and Telegen The hair we target is at the Anagen stage where it is attached to the hair bulb. The melanin of the hair draws the heat energy down the hair shaft and heats up the bulb to around 84°c killing off the blood supply that feeds the root of the hair. The targeted hair then completes its cycle but will not regrow in the next cycle. Treated area becomes patchy and the hair growth is slower.
What does the treatment entail:
- 10-12 Treatments are recommended at 4 week intervals for the hair removal process.
- The area may be shaved 2-3 days prior to the treatment.
- All forms of waxing or plucking should be avoided during the hair removal process as it interferes with the hair cycle.
- We advise our clients to avoid all forms of sun exposure including sun beds and self tanning lotions. The use of an appropriate SPF is recommended.
